Mathias Tüscher is a strategic and unifying leader, renowned for his ability to motivate and inspire his teams to achieve ambitious goals in complex environments. With more than 30 years’ experience in large-scale project management and military command, he has in-depth expertise in strategic planning, crisis management, training and talent development (more than 3,000 cases between 2014 and 2023).
During his career in the Swiss Army, Mathias led several major units, managing up to 11,000 military personnel. He has played a key role in strengthening the links between the armed forces and the political, economic and academic players in Western Switzerland. He has also overseen major operations, including hospital support during the COVID-19 crisis, capacity-building for the Geneva authorities during major international summits, and the organisation of large-scale exercises involving thousands of Swiss and French military personnel.
At the same time, Mathias has been involved in leadership training and skills development, designing training programmes for senior managers.
For a number of years, he has put his expertise at the service of civilian and military organisations through various foundations and associations. In particular, he is Chairman of the Fondation Général Henri Guisan and of the Association de la Revue Militaire Suisse.
